Breeding background notes:
In Closer Detail:
Sire: Maestro
16+H jet black PRE stallion. He is Dejado bred by Da. M. Femanda de
la Escalera. He is pure spanish bred and Escalera is the most recognized
breeder of the rare black champions in Spain. This line is known for
breeding kind temperaments and easy to handle stallions. Maestro's Dam
is
Encalada, a huge black 16+H Mare from Rancho la Esmeralda.
She only
produced two offspring before passing away, making her genetics
very
limited. There is some influence of the Luis Arenas Garcia
and S. Guardiola
Fantoni lines as well. The military lines make the breed
truly the horses of
Kings - they are fancy and have a show off personality, but
gentle enough to
be around a child or novice rider. Yet, there is some Terry
breeding known
for having great vigor in Maestro's line as well! Maestro
was campaigned as
an exhibition horse for high school movements. Now sold
by Tina and living
out West and no longer being offered for breeding as far
as I know.
Dam: Noche Paloma
16.3H jet black Spanish/Lusitano champion mare. Sired by
PRE
stallion El Agrarista. She was Junior Champion filly
and overall Junior
Champion (against both sexes) in the 1995 NE Classic
Breed Show. She was
also Champion Mare in the 2003 ERAHC breed show.
